On November 20, 2014, President Obama announced an executive action that would give temporary relief from deportation to nearly five million hardworking undocumented individuals living in the United States. The President acknowledged this as a first step in lieu of Congress' failure to act to fix our immigration system. There are more than six million people who will not qualify for any protection under the President's plan and those who do qualify do not have access to any permanent relief. NIJC spoke to the media about its analysis of the plan.
