NIJC has a new Chicago address at 111 W. Jackson Blvd, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60604 and a new email domain at @immigrantjustice.org.

At a time of unprecedented global migration, the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) is committed to ensuring the U.S. government upholds due process and human rights for the women, men, children and families who flee to the United States seeking safety and security, as well as those who have long been contributing members of our communities.

NIJC's more than 30 years of experience providing quality low-cost immigration legal services informs our work to improve the U.S. immigration system.

This means:

  • providing trustworthy legal advice as immigrant communities face hostile policies
  • providing legal counsel to families who have been separated and fighting against all policies that separate families
  • defending individuals' right to seek asylum
  • exposing deadly abuse and neglect in immigration jails and working towards a more humane and alternative solution to immigration detention
