Summary: The Sixth Circuit affirmed the agency’s determination that petitioner was ineligible to adjust status due to violations of 8 U.S.C. § 1182(a)(3)(E)(iii) for having “committed, ordered, incited, assisted, or otherwise participated in the commission of . . . any act of torture”. Petitioner served as a sergeant in the Mauritanian military and participated in the torture of black dissidents in Mauritania.
