NIJC has a new Chicago address at 111 W. Jackson Blvd, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60604 and a new email domain at @immigrantjustice.org.

NIJC provides immigration legal services to non-citizen survivors of human trafficking. Survivors of human trafficking include those who have been compelled through force, fraud, coercion, and threats to perform labor, services, or commercial sex acts. Human trafficking can occur in any industry and can include any kind of labor, including domestic labor and labor in illicit industries.

Who We Can Help

NIJC attorneys and paralegals represent trafficking survivors living in our geographic service area in applications for T visas and permanent residence/adjustment of status. The T visa allows survivors of trafficking to obtain employment authorization and opens a path to lawful permanent residence status and citizenship. We also assist survivors in petitioning for eligible family members. In some cases, we can also represent trafficking survivors in U visa applications, VAWA self-petitions, removal defense, and other forms of relief.
