Policy Brief: U.S. failed to recognize human rights of immigrants as it aggressively prosecuted Agriprocessors workers
(Winter 2009) — Workers' lack of knowledge about the legality of their "working papers" has raised questions about the federal convictions that led to their deportation. Furthermore, some workers who were hurried through legal proceedings following the raid have reported abuse that may have made them eligible for immigration protection.
