NIJC client Jordana Vera is DREAM Act-eligible and was wrongfully detained and nearly deported based on evidence the U.S. government later admitted did not exist. Ms. Vera will benefit from President Obama's policy to grant deferred action to DREAMers, but she still will not have a path to permanent status.
