U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) routinely prevents individuals who may qualify from pursuing asylum in the United States. NIJC and several other human rights groups filed a civil rights complaint against CBP. The individuals in the complaint, like many others with similar stories, were unjustly deported to countries where they face persecution.
