Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act Improves Protections for Victims of Trafficking

Heartland Alliance's National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) applauds the passage of federal legislation that will significantly expand protections for victims of trafficking and other crimes in the United States. The Trafficking Victims Protection and Reauthorization Act of 2008, H.R.7311, passed both the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate last week and is expected to be signed into law by President Bush.
