In the first few days of 2016, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) began home raids targeting Central American families, primarily women and children, who recently fled violence and death in their home countries and are seeking protection in the United States. NIJC spoke to national and local media outlets condemning these inhumane actions that deny due process and contradict American values.
