NIJC has received the following updates regarding immigration operations during the shutdown:
- Immigration Court: during the shutdown, only detained hearings will occur. Non-detained hearings will be rescheduled. The court will still accept filings for both detained and non-detained cases.
- USCIS and Asylum Office: USCIS and Asylum Office interviews and operations will go forward as usual. DACA renewal processing will continue.
- Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE): ICE operations will continue during the shutdown. It is likely that non-detained ICE check-ins will continue, but that has not yet been confirmed.
