Conference: Responding to ICE Enforcement Print E-mail
Tuesday, 20 November 2007

Learn how you can support immigrant communities and defend American ideals of due process and human rights as Immigration and Customs Enforcement continues to step up harsh enforcement measures and raid our homes and workplaces.

RESPONDING TO ICE ENFORCEMENT: STRATEGIES FOR COMMUNITY AND LEGAL ADVOCATES takes place November 28 at DePaul's Lincoln Park Campus.

Lawyers, activists, and service providers will learn about the recent history of ICE workplace raids and other enforcement actions, state and local enforcement issues, and federal criminal enforcement.

The conference is the result of a collaboration between a number of Chicago-area immigrant rights organizations. Its goal is for participants to develop networks of support for community education, as well as social and legal services on issues related to immigration enforcement.
