In this video, a refugee woman talks about her efforts to access medical care during nearly two years of detention in a county jail under the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. When the woman discovered a lump in her shoulder, a jail nurse told her "It's just a fatty tumor," and her requests to see a doctor were refused.
This interview is the second in a series of NIJC interviews with clients recently released from immigrant detention. |
